PCBA is a one-stop processing process for SMT mounting, DIP plugins, testing, and finished product assembly on an empty PCB board. Next, the editor of Muwo Technology will provide a detailed introduction to the various processes of PCBA production.
The PCBA production process can be divided into four major processes:
1. SMT chip processing
2. DIP plug-in processing
3. PCBA testing
4. Finished product assembly.
SMT chip processing: ① solder paste stirring, stirring the solder paste to be suitable for printing and welding; ② Solder paste printing, placing the solder paste on a steel mesh and using a scraper to leak the solder paste onto the PCB pad; ③ SPI, a solder paste thickness detector, can detect the printing situation of solder paste and control the printing effect of solder paste; ④ Placement, placement of SMD components on Feida, and accurate placement of components on Feida onto PCB pads through identification by the SMD machine head; ⑤ Reflow soldering: the pasted PCB is subjected to reflow soldering soldering, and the paste is heated into liquid by the high temperature inside, and finally cooled and solidified to complete the welding; ⑥ AOI, automatic optical detection, can detect the welding effect of PCB board through scanning, and can detect whether the board is normal. ⑦ Repair, repair AOI or manually detected anomalies.
DIP plug-in processing
① Plug in, process the pin of the plug in material and insert it onto the PCB board; ② Wave soldering involves passing the inserted board through the wave soldering process, where liquid tin is sprayed onto the PCB board and finally cooled to complete the soldering process Cut the feet, the pins of the welded board are too long and need to be cut; ④ After welding processing, manually solder the components using an electric soldering iron; ⑤ After washing the board and conducting wave soldering, the board will be relatively dirty and needs to be cleaned with washing water and washing tank; ⑥ Quality inspection involves inspecting the PCB board. Unqualified products need to be repaired before they can enter the next process.
PCBA testing
PCBA testing can be divided into ICT testing, FCT testing, aging testing, vibration testing, etc. The testing methods used for PCBA vary depending on different products and customer requirements. ICT testing is the detection of component welding and circuit continuity, while FCT testing is the detection of input and output parameters of the PCBA board.
Finished product assembly
Assemble the PCBA board that has passed the test and then proceed with the testing. Once there are no issues, it can be shipped.
PCBA production is a process of interlocking links, and any problem in any link will have a significant impact on the overall quality. Therefore, strict control is required for each process.
